Kelly Beard

Kelly Beard graduated from law school in 1988 and went on to earn her LL.M. in litigation from Emory University two years later. She owns a boutique law firm, Kelly J. Beard, LLC, where she practices exclusively in the area of employment discrimination. She has been a member of the Georgia Bar since 1991, and has been admitted to all local state and federal courts, including the Northern and Middle District Courts of Georgia, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Kelly has enjoyed enormous success representing defendant employers and plaintiff employees. She served as co-counsel in a case that returned one of the largest verdicts in the nation that year, as reported in The National Law Journal, Top 100 Verdicts (February 2003). She served as an arbitrator for the NASD for several years, and has been a top-rated attorney (A-V rated) by her peers and judges, for nearly a decade. Kelly has been a featured speaker at multiple educational and training seminars for other lawyers, has trained for the EEOC, and serves on the EEOC’s mediation panel. Kelly was proud to receive recognition as a SuperLawyer recently, as well as recognition for her services in the Legal Assistance for Victims Project (2003-2009) from the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
